Daily activities

We run a variety of free activities every day, including storytelling, arts and crafts, tours and treasure hunts.

Architectural tours

Enjoy a free architectural tour of the Museum every Thursday afternoon until 5 July.

Wondertots

Fridays (20, 27 April, 4, 11 and 18 May - All sessions fully booked). Ready, steady and off we go! Join in workshops for under 5s in celebration of our new exhibition Beautiful Games.

Making SENse: Visual impairment

Saturday 28 April, Sunday 20 May and Saturday 16 June. Working with access consultant Liz Porter and artist Lynn Cox, the Museum will be running workshops for families with visually impaired children or adults.

Montessori for Families

Saturday 19 May. A practical workshop led by Montessori educators, packed with fun and useful techniques to aid your child's learning.

Royal Rumpus

Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June. Celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with regal storytelling, arts & crafts and trails.

June half term: Playful Puppets

Monday 4 – Sunday 10 June. Join in a puppet themed June half term!

Wordburst: Pinocchio

Monday 4 – Friday 8 June.(Fully booked-sorry!) Enjoy drama games, scenery painting, costume design and storytelling based on Carlos Collodi's well-loved tale Pinocchio.

Happy Birthday Mr Punch

Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 June. Roll up! Roll up! Come and meet Mr Punch and friends with a weekend of traditional Punch and Judy shows.

Dickens and Childhood

Monday 18 June. The V&A Museum of Childhood is working with the English Association to host a one-day conference on ‘Dickens and Childhood’.

Museum of Motherhood launch

Thursday 21 June. The Museum of Motherhood (MoM) is a brand new pop-up museum, which asks what it means to be a mother.

Barnardo's Big Toddle

Thursday 28 June. Grab your cape and take flight for the Big Toddle! Dress up as your favourite superhero and take part in Barnardo's sponsored walk...

Toddlers Take Over...

Thursday 28 June. Join in an afternoon of free activities. Enjoy face painting, making masks, a superhero fitness session and storytelling

New Voices Festival

Saturday 30 June. Watch the Museum grounds, Museum Gardens and St John’s Church burst into colour with a day of live music, carnival, dance, theatre, workshops, stalls and food.

Summer Festival

Sunday 29 July. The best in family festival fun right on your doorstep in Bethnal Green. Join us for the 10th anniversary of our ever popular annual summer event.
