Self-guided visits

School or college groups can enjoy a free self-guided visit to the Museum. On arrival, school groups are met by one of our Activity Assistants, allocated storage, shown the Museum's facilities and given confirmation of a lunch slot (if requested).

Spotlight talks (£15, 30 minutes)

Spotlight talks (for up to 30 pupils) can be reserved when booking a self-guided visit. Led by Museum staff, the free 30 minute talks include storytelling, games and object handling. Talks are available during term-time from Monday to Friday at the following times; 10.30, 11.15 and 12.00.

SEN resource boxes

SEN resource boxes tailored to pupils with special educational needs are available to school groups. Example contents include moving and sensory toys, simple games and a large-print storybook. Resource boxes can be reserved when booking a self-guided visit or teaching session.

Museum quiet days (SEN groups only)

Thursdays 7 March and 20 June 2013
