Volunteering and Internships

The Museum of Childhood is looking for people to volunteer alongside our existing Front of House team. Volunteers will support our public programme by assisting with activities, delivering information about the Museum and its collections and interacting with visitors. Volunteers will also help our schools and families audiences explore the collections through a programme of gallery activities and informal sessions around the Museum.

Volunteers usually work in the Museum for half a day each week, and we are currently looking for people to help out on weekdays and weekends.

The Museum also runs student and graduate internships in the following departments: Collections, Exhibitions, Director's Office, Marketing and Learning.

Interns must be aged 18 or over, a registered college or university student or a recent graduate and able to commit to a minimum four week internship (full or part-time).

At the present time all intern placements have been filled for the summer.

To find out more about volunteering and internships, contact Tamsin Rose, Volunteer Co-ordinator, on 020 8983 5201 or email t.rose@vam.ac.uk.
